The Exhibition

Exporail is a successfully established series of trade exhibitions for the rail sector in Russia. Its inception in 2006 was the response to the exceptional development plans by the Russian Railways Company RZD, which intends to significantly improve Russia’s railway links on a large scale.

Special focus on railway technology

Exporail has developed into a marketplace where the focus is on know-how and expertise for the rail industry presented by domestic and international companies.

Growing exhibition

Now in its third year, Exporail has gained steadily in both exhibitor and visitor figures. Compared to the previous edition, Exporail 2007 increased visitor and exhibitor numbers by 10%.

Strong support from RZD, Russian Railways

The support of RZD Russian Railways is a key factor to the success of Exporail and the organisers enjoy a strong relationship with the organisation. At Exporail 2007, representatives of RZD were present at the Opening Ceremony and the following tour of the show, taking time to talk to individual exhibitors.

On-site Conference

During Exporail 2009 a 2-day conference will be held at Expocentr on different aspects of transport policies and railway strategy in Russia. Further information will be available in January 2009.
